2、 Application deadline

Autumn semester (September/2023- December/2023) applications are due on May 15^th, 2023.

Spring semester (February/2024-June/2024) applications are due on October 15^th, 2023.

3、 Application qualification and quota

(1)Full-time students officially registered in overseas and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan universities that have signed cooperation agreements with Hengxing University can apply for exchange programs. The recommended quota is subject to the specific agreement between universities.

(2)The Chinese language proficiency should at least reach Level 4 of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (HSK Level 4). If student does not meet the requirements, he/she should study the basic Chinese language courses and other courses related to Chinese culture in the School of International Education in Hengxing University.

Note: The final enrollment number is subject to the review results of our university, and in principle, the enrollment number should not exceed the agreed amount in the written agreement.

4、Schools enrolling overseas (exchange students)

From September 2023 to the end of June 2024, two schools accept exchange applications including the School of International Education and the School of Humanities.

5、 Exchange period

One semester or one academic year

6、 Courses and credits

Exchange students can choose up to 18 credits in our school. The following is a list of Chinese language courses and Chinese culture courses available to those who do not meet the language requirements.

7、Application Material

(1)"Application Form for Exchange Students from Overseas and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Universities of Qingdao Star University of Science and Technology" (Attachment 1);

(2) Certificate of attendance from the student's original school;

(3) The sealed or signed official transcript (in Chinese) provided by the student's original school;

(4) Letter of recommendation from the principal or dean of the original school;

(5) One inch bareheaded photo on a white background (electronic version, in jpg format);

(6) A copy of the passport whole pages, which must be valid for at least 18 months;

(7) One copy of HSK certificate and transcript (if any);

(8) Physical examination report;

(9)A copy of the insurance policy (the insurance period should cover the entire process of students' exchange study in our school);

(10)"Information Summary Form for Exchange Students in China" (Appendix 2) completed by the school as a unit.

8、 Accommodation

(1)Application: Exchange students do not need to apply. Our school will arrange for exchange students to live in student apartments on compus.

(2)Accommodation fee: 2980 RMB/semester (Quad room, independent bathroom)

9、 Achievements

(1)Exchange students need to take the final exam for the selected course and pass them to obtain corresponding credits.

(2)The criteria for the courses exam are subject to the requirements of each department of our university.

(3)The transcript will be sent by our school to the corresponding department of each university after the exchange student returns to the original school.

10、 Fees

(1)Exchange students are not required to pay registration fees, tuition fees, and administrative fees during the exchange period.

(2)Exchange students need to bear their own living expenses, such as meals, transportation, books, accommodation, etc.

(3)Reference to living expenses (for reference only, expenses will vary depending on personal living habits):

(3.1) Meal fee: about 1200 RMB per month;

(3.2) Transportation fee: bus/subway (bus starts at 1 RMB, subway starts at 3 RMB);

(3.3) Book fees vary depending on the courses.

(3.4) Accommodation fee: 2980 RMB /semester (Quad room, independent bathroom)
